Prepare to cast your vote in Lok Sabha Polls

KNOW your name’s presence in FINAL voter list:

·         SEARCH online using one of following options. Follow guidelines.

1.      Government

2.      Private (by Google, Hindustan Times etc)

·         BROWSE the voter lists, Note: pls check the date, since these were still feb-10th-2009 dated when we checked on Apr-20th

Attention: When you find your name, write down FOUR pieces of information:

1.      Assembly constituency (AC)

2.      Part number

3.      Serial number

4.      Polling Booth: Address & location

KNOW the Candidates:

·         Visit various websites: Affidavits , SmartVote

·         Attend “Meet the Candidates” events

KNOW your Rights:

·         No worthy candidates? You can vote for “none of the above” by filling Form 17-A at polling booth; Here is more on 49-O article of election law

WHAT you need to take to Polling Station:

·         Information: AC, Part, and Serial numbers

·         Photo Identification:  Any government issued photo ID, such as driver’s license, passport, Ration card, PAN card etc

KNOW your Rights:
